History

Measuring devices for the medical sector were the first products developed by Martin Görlitz when he founded his first company in 1976. He had just commenced studying Control Engineering and Data Technique at the Technical College in Darmstadt. At the time, long before the PC era, laboratory data integration systems were individually manufactured. The customers were mainly universities, clinics and major industry.

Having successfully absolved his studies at the beginning of 1980, Mr. Görlitz continued as a young entrepreneur. The first complete production range began with interface modules for the Commodore Computer. Approximately 30,000 utilizers/users in the 80's called the "GÖRLITZ-Interface" for Epson-Printers their own. Displaying great far-sightedness he abandoned this field in 1986 due to the price reduction of home computers. The time had come to form a strategy for a long-term solid business enterprise. The basis was the acquired expertise, a profound knowledge of the market and the desire to be an innovative leader in the technology sector.

The goal was "Data communication for technical applications", initially between the building automation, the security technique, emergency call systems and similar. The first small breakthrough came with the monitoring of vending machines. The product Orsymat was developed for the company Würth. Emergency call devices for senior citizens were also successful and residential parks were equipped with them.

With the advent of the 90's, the demand increased for metering devices for different types of energy. The success story of the FNA telemetry device and the ENERCOM products is now a decade old.
