Skalar (derived from "to scale");
the
scalable system; swift and cost-effective adaptation to demands

Liberalised Energy Market Regardless of where Skalar is applied, it always adapts itself to its tasks. This can be a simple data transfer in transparent mode, the processing of measuring data, a plausibility check on site, error detection or also the use of digital signatures for validated data. The intelligence is remotely configured in the device thereby eliminating costly on-site inspections. The Skalar accords you independence – tasks are performed on site. You select if it is to execute switching operations, call independently, transmit data automatically or if it is to be read by the control station. It is irrelevant for the Skalar and the connected systems if they are accessed via PSTN, ISDN, GSM/GPRS or even directly over an Ethernet® connection. The interfaces and accesses to the data remain the same – communication without restriction. Identical to an Internet PC, the Skalar creates HTML pages, provides data either actively or passively per FTP, it can also relay emails independently to arbitrary addresses. Multiple emails can also be relayed simultaneously if the energy supplier and customer wish to process the same billing data in their systems. Create a uniform measuring field for post-processing systems with the Skalar. Complicated adaptations are no longer necessary in the collection centre, as Skalar converts the data on site and supplies them as required. Not only today, but also in the future. Protection of your investment is guaranteed! The Skalar offers you transparent access for the remote configuration and analysis of your meter. High-end functions save on costs incurred through maintenance and non-availability of metering points.Thanks to the JAVA environment Skalar can tackle almost any task. Error messages from decentralised systems are detected as well as leaks in pipelines or when the minimum and maximum are overstepped. It is in your hands, whether Skalar sends an email, activates a data transmission or directly informs an SMS receiver (e.g. maintenance service). The switching operations, as with all events, can be performed automatically or controlled by time or external events. |
