ENZ2000
The Data Processing Center for reading out energy and consumption data

The ENZ2000 is the data station for reading out and processing energy consumption data. It works as a Client-Server system and has been developed for the operating system MS Windows NT technology and upwards. With its universal handling of data protocols (FNP, DIN 19244, IEC 1107, IEC 870/5, SCTM, LSV1, ...) and complete integration into any network environment, the remote meter reading main terminal station, ENZ2000, demonstrates the possibilities of a modern main terminal station for all tasks relating to customer-oriented data acquisition.

The ENZ2000 is tailored to the data processing structures used by energy utilities. It is the solution for a modern main terminal station: from the acquisition of register data, load profile data as well as error messages from an almost unlimited number of metering points, and the automatic transmission of the collected data.

The ENZ2000 functions as a Client-Server solution integrated into a systems network, and consists primarily of three modules: the database server, control client, and communication modem servers. The operating system for all three modules is Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000. This allows open structuring for the computer platform and the integrated network environment. The hardware components used must be compatible only with Windows NT or Windows 2000.

The ENZ2000 works with a dataserver with access to a SQL database. From here, up to 128 client terminals and a maximum of eight modem servers can be operated. Each of the eight modem servers can administer up to 16 communication modems, optionally as dialup or dedicated line modem. This allows the central system to effect parallel data collection with up to 128 communication lines. The ENZ2000 architecture provides constant use of fixed data protocols and the utmost security against unauthorised access from the outside.

Memory capacity of the system is unlimited in the number of customers and can manage several hundred thousand metering points. Depending on computer and communications equipment performance, within six hours meter data can be readout and up to 50,000 load profiles called up online, and the data prepared for further processing.

Using pattern processing, the user can create any number of filters that enable him to extract the raw data collected from the meters that are necessary for billing. With no constraints, any coefficient indexing system can be mapped in the ENZ2000. Search functions simplify working in the system. Importing data from external systems is just as natural as the administration of a complete mobile data acquisition system.

Thanks to comprehensive user management, any access authorization profile can be created for each user. These profiles allow controlled access to readout data, communications processes, data evaluation as well as interfaces for further processing systems or printouts of load profiles.
