The MUC1, firstborn of the MUC device family is compatible with FNN/bdew specifications. It enables a multi-service, wireless remote reading of residential meters via the GSM network. The different consumption values from electricity, gas, water and heat meters are retrieved locally and transferred automatically to the control station.

The meters can be either wired (RS232) to the MUC1 or connected via close proximity wireless transfer technology. Local communication is performed automatically. The device is configured from the control station and direct access to measurement values is also possible for the residential customers, e.g. via PC or a MUC display.

The MUC1 is designed to meet the requirements of a mass installation. The mechanical connections need only to be observed during installation.
