(12.05.2006) The annual general meeting of the GÖRLITZ AG took place yesterday and attendees could review a fruitful business year for 2005.
The operational performance of the company in Koblenz rose to 10.94 million Euro; the total income of the group reached the 20 million Euro mark. The revenues for both the hardware and software increased in the same measure in 2005. The group’s EBIT had practically doubled in comparison to the previous year, only the industrial section did not prove satisfactory for the year under review. Martin Görlitz, CEO, declared: “The trading results from 2005 and particularly our capital ratio of more than 70% ensures that we are well equipped for business developments in the European sector.”

In an extensive presentation, the board of management elaborated on the development performances and company plans for 2006. These are supported by the diversification of the EDW3000 software platform and the launch of the EMETRION meter series. The EDW3000 has proven successful in more than 100 installations throughout Europe as an all-round packet for the acquisition and processing of energy data and is integrated in the IT landscape of numerous utilities. In the meantime the electronic EMETRION.net meter which is remotely read over electricity cables has also been accepted in the German market in a series of pilot installations.
