The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) recently published a directive for replacement processes in metering (WiM). Thereby energy utilities will have to integrate new market partners either in existing processes or in the IT landscape. They are also required to align und synchronise the WiMs to the interfaces of existing business processes such as GPKE, GeLi Gas and MaBiS.

To avoid problems in the future business processes will need to be automated as far as possible, message types will have to be adapted to  WiM processes to guarantee and monitor role-specific communication. Demands on the energy utilities are steadily increasing and consequently the call for future-proof concepts.
